More… In late 2020, the Planning Commission (at the direction of the Board of Supervisors) began reviewing the 2019 Long-Range Comprehensive Plan and updating its content, including the Future Land Use Map. This map designates areas where growth should occur and specifies what uses may be appropriate in different parts of Powhatan County. Recommended land uses shown on this map are considered when evaluating development proposals, such as rezoning requests.
