View the new exhibit in the African American History & Cultural Arts Museum that celebrates historic and present-day black-owned-businesses in Powhatan County.

Celebration features an afternoon of music, black-owned business vendors and agencies, food trucks, museum open house, and indoor program starting, featuring a live performance by Lou Beatty at 2:00 PM.

The Powhatan Farmers Market and Parks & Recreation are teaming up to offer an evening farmers market, with vendors, food trucks, and a beer truck, from 5pm-9pm; followed by an outdoor movie starting at dusk. Bring blankets and lawn chairs and enjoy an evening with family and friends on the lawn. Dogs must be on a leash at all times.

Kids Zone at the Farmers Market

May 4 & October 26: 4:00pm - 6:00pm
Powhatan Parks & Recreation is excited to host Kid Zone! Rec staff will be on site weekly with hula hoops, bounces, balls, teeter totters, and games to entertain the kiddos while you shop. Children and adults can get their face painted on opening day. Special activities will be announced weekly via the Parks and Recreation Facebook page. We'll also plan to have the Kid Zone on site during the Village Market & Movie nights, featuring a themed craft or activity for each movie.
