Powhatan County is currently recruiting for two evening part-time technicians for the purpose of public meeting set-up and running audio and video equipment and on-line streaming. These technicians will be responsible for setting up meeting rooms for public or staff events, including set-up of computer equipment, sound equipment, temperature control, setting up of laptop to display to monitors, basic troubleshooting if video camera feed is not working, and other duties necessary for the smooth operation of a meeting. Will be present during the meeting to assist if needed, and will secure the meeting room at the end of the session.
Skills & Requirements
Applicants must have a high school diploma, proven experience with computers and sound systems, must have a basic working knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office including Powerpoint presentations, ability to operate a computer projector and voice recording device, some knowledge and ability to operate a sound system control board, demonstrated customer service skills, and must be organized and reliable.
Positions are part-time and hours will vary between 4 pm and 10 pm during the week. Positions will be paid $50 per meeting and an additional $25.00 per hour for meetings that last more than two hours.
